An average day at work as an emergency physician for Dr. McBeth may include unscheduled trauma patients, difficult procedures, and quick thinking. In a role that is frequently demanding and highly complex, he relies on his clinical experience and instinct to make those critical decisions.
And for Dr. McBeth, it’s all about taking care of his patients. Knowing that he’s serving his community during the most uncertain – and usually unexpected – moments is what keeps him motivated each day.
“Every patient deserves and has a right to the highest quality medical care possible,” says Dr. McBeth. “It’s my honor to go work with a breadth of knowledge and expertise that has prepared me to help our neighbors — no matter what brings them to us.”
His approach to working with his MEMA teammates mirrors his approach to his patients. Dr. McBeth feels privileged to do his job alongside other caring nurses, physicians, technicians, and team members that share his passion for ensuring that all patients have access to top-notch medical care.
Dr. McBeth received his Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Medicine from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Rochester. Outside of the emergency department, Dr. McBeth leads an active lifestyle and enjoys mountain biking, exploring North Carolina’s beautiful mountains, and is an avid backpacker. His close-knit family includes his wife Rachel and their four outstanding children.
