Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates (MEMA) is proud to announce that Dr. Aaron Blackshaw has been named Physician of the Year by the North Carolina Society of Respiratory Care (NCSRC), a distinguished honor recognizing his outstanding leadership, clinical excellence, and dedication to advancing respiratory care in North Carolina.
Dr. Blackshaw was first recognized by Novant Health Matthews Medical Center leadership, with many Novant leaders in attendance for the announcement. His formal recognition took place on October 10, 2025, during the NCSRC Annual Conference in Wilmington, N.C.
Dr. Blackshaw’s recognition reflects MEMA’s continued commitment to supporting outstanding physicians who advance the delivery of emergency and hospital-based care throughout the region.
