Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates, PA, (“MEMA”) is a locally owned, private physician group, founded in 1976 and is one of the largest physician groups in the Charlotte, NC region.
We specialize in Emergency Medicine and our practice is hospital based meaning we only see patients in the Emergency Department at one of the five hospitals we staff. We are not a Primary Care practice; we do not see patients in an office setting; we do not take appointments. Patients seen by our practice will receive at least two (2) bills for treatment, one from the hospital where they were seen in the Emergency Department and one from Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates, PA ("MEMA"). Patients may also receive bills from additional physician groups depending on the treatment received. Although we have an administrative office, we do not have access to any patient records or billing information in our office. Questions concerning hospital bills should be directed to the hospital where the patient was seen. For questions concerning a bill from MEMA, please call 1-800-210-8168. |
